The importance and role of logging, or what are our responsibilities if we operate an ISO 27001 (ISMS) system and / or want to comply with the provisions of the GDPR
The normal operation of the IT environment requires knowledge of what is happening in the system, both for the operators and for the employees guarding the information security. By this we mean not only the activities that take place in the devices, but also the actions performed by the users. It is important not only to see but also to examine these activities so that, if necessary, we can reconstruct exactly what happened. With regard to information security and the protection of personal data, we examine what, when, how it is appropriate to log, collect logs and analyze their contents in order to comply with the relevant requirements of the ISO 27001 system and the GDPR.
Speaker: Tamás Lengré Director, ASC Management and Informatics Consulting Ltd.
