We are pleased to announce that, building on the success of the events of 2013 and 2016, Hungary is once again organizing the Budapest World Water Summit. The conference will be held under the patronage of President János Áder, October 15-17, 2019., at Millenaris Park. The motto of the event is “Prevent the water crisis.”
Hungary is organizing the World Summit for the third time. The event aims to draw attention to the urgency of tackling the impending water crises, building on the triple theme of many waters – few waters – polluted waters. Its specific objective is to identify the necessary steps in the areas of governance, knowledge and technology, funding, and regulation and institutional support. The conference will provide an opportunity for policy makers, business and financial sector representatives and members of the scientific community to discuss what we need to do to achieve global water security. In addition to the World Summit, there will once again be a trade fair for the water industry – Digital and Near-Nature Sustainable Solutions – where we will offer an opportunity for companies whose activities are related to the issue of water.
The event is expected to bring together more than 2,000 people from all over the world, including leaders of the United Nations and its specialized agencies, senior government delegations, recognized members of the scientific community, and representatives of the business and financial sectors.
